Caskets Ain't Made For Kids
As easy as it would be
to shed a tear for you,
I would have to admit you're gone,
something I ain't ready to do.
Ain't ready to reminesce,
ain't ready to accept
your arms won't give the hugs
I so longingly expect.
Don't want to believe the truth
that you're no longer here.
My boi, my brother, my friend,
I cannot shed this tear.
Try so hard not to be mad,
but I'm just so angry with you.
You knew we were here,
we could have helped you.
Marky, this world is crazy
and it'll forever drag us down,
but it becomes that much harder
knowing you won't be around.
To know when I look next door
when I come to mom's to visit
you won't
The many elements
of what is me.
Look in my eyes,
see what I see,
see what I've seen,
do what I've done.
You'll wish for a
brighter day to come.
Interpret my feelings,
search, you shall find
forbidden things
within this mind.
Beneath this shell,
deep inside,
you'll find a secret place
where I run and hide.
My comfort zone
when things get crazed.
My slumber land
on darker days.
You want to know
what I conceal,
what is real?
I won't reveal!
So continue to search
my puzzled mind,
it's a jigsaw that
requires time.
It's almost time for curtain call,
Where I reveal myself to all.
Thoughts enclosed by brick walls,
My heart's the rapids before the falls.
Life's a blue yarn ball
a grown lion loves to maul.
Afraid I might trip and fall,
and shatter like a porcelain doll.
